How well you follow these instructions directly determines how your brows heal and how long the pigment lasts. Please read every step.
Permanent brow makeup is a two-step process. Your brows will appear darker and more defined immediately after your session — this is completely normal. The true healed color settles in around weeks 3–4. Do not judge your results until they are fully healed.
⚠ Proper aftercare is not optional. Skipping steps or using the wrong products during healing is the #1 cause of poor pigment retention, patchy results, and premature fading.
Dab every 2–3 hours using a clean cotton pad lightly dampened with clean drinking water. Gently dab — do not wipe or rub — to remove any lymph fluid that surfaces. This step is critical on Day 1 to prevent excess buildup that causes heavy scabbing and poor pigment retention.
Keep brows dry from any source other than your gentle dabbing. No sweating, no direct shower stream on the face, no steam from cooking or showering directed at the brow area on Day 1.
Cleanse twice daily — morning and night — using a very gentle, fragrance-free cleanser. Apply with clean fingertips using light circular motions. Rinse gently with lukewarm water. Pat dry with a clean tissue. Do not use a washcloth on the brow area during healing.
Apply the provided aftercare cream after each cleanse. Use a clean cotton swab or clean fingertip and apply the thinnest possible layer — a little goes a long way. Leave the cream on overnight. Do not substitute another product on the brow area during healing.
Let scabs fall off naturally. Around days 5–7 your brows may peel or develop light scabs. Do not pick, peel, scratch, or rub the area under any circumstances. Pulling a scab off early removes the pigment beneath it — causing patchiness and color loss that even a touch-up may not fully correct.
The following restrictions apply for the full two-week healing period:
No scratching or picking at scabs or flaking skin in the brow area
No excessive sweating — skip intense workouts, hot yoga, and heavy cardio
No direct shower stream on the face — angle your head away or use a shower visor
No steam rooms or saunas — heat and humidity accelerate pigment fading
No swimming — pools, lakes, hot tubs, and oceans are all off-limits
No direct sun exposure on the brow area — UV causes pigment to fade and discolor during healing
No makeup on the brow area — including brow pencils, powders, tints, or gels
No exfoliants or retinol products near the brow area
No Botox, chemical peels, or facials in the brow or forehead area for at least 1 month after your procedure.
Avoid prolonged sun exposure and always apply SPF 30+ over healed brows when outdoors to maximize pigment longevity.
Days 1–3: Brows appear darker, bolder, and more defined than expected. This is normal — the color will soften significantly.
Days 4–7: Brows may begin to flake or scab lightly. They may appear to fade dramatically or look patchy. Do not panic — this is part of the process.
Days 8–14: A thin layer of new skin forms over the pigment, making brows look lighter or slightly muted. This is also normal.
Weeks 3–4: The true healed color emerges and the brows begin to look soft and natural. This is when you can assess your results.
Week 4–6: This is when your touch-up appointment should be scheduled to refine the shape and fill any areas the skin didn't fully retain.
